This painting was presented as a Bar Mitzva present by an uncle to the boy pictured playing with the train on the floor. The painting shows the boy's parents (on the far right), grandmothers, his uncle and aunt, siblings, and the uncle who ordered the painting (in the blue shirt with tie) with his daughters (the boy's cousins). On the wall are portraits of his deceased grandparents and uncle.
The photographs I was given to work from were anachronistic so for example one grandmother appears much younger than the other or even than the boy's mother.
